Following three thorough risk assessments, we have taken the very difficult and unprecedented decision to close the school on Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June 2026 due to Birmingham being in a Red Alert area.
This decision has not been taken lightly. Internal classroom temperatures are exceeding 30°C, with 26°C already considered too hot for a safe learning environment. In addition, CO₂ monitor readings indicate poor ventilation across the school, further increasing the risk to pupils and staff.
This decision was taken in line with UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) guidance.
To minimise disruption to your child’s learning, learning packs will be sent home.
