Welcome to Conway Primary School. I am Ms Mahony, the Executive Headteacher, and I am thrilled to introduce you to our vibrant and diverse school community. At Conway, we hold the highest expectations for all our pupils, believing firmly in their potential to achieve greatness.

Our welcoming environment is enriched with a wide array of academic and extra-curricular opportunities that cater to the varied interests and talents of our pupils.

We are committed to fostering high aspirations, ensuring that every child is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to open minds and open doors to a bright future. We invite you to join us in this exciting journey of discovery and growth.

Conway Primary School is situated in the heart of Birmingham serving the local areas of Sparkbrook, Sparkhill, Hall Green and further afield. Pupils join us from the age of 3 and leave us at the age of 11 having built the stepping stones to enable them to achieve their dreams. Staff at the school have a wealth of experience, many of them having taught at Conway for many years and so understand the community and work tirelessly to meet the needs of the children.

We are part of Create Partnership Trust which gives us access to support, resources and high quality training opportunities. As such, our teaching is kept up to date to ensure that we meet the needs of all our learners.

It is an honour to welcome you to our wonderful school. At Conway Primary School, we are driven by the common vision of preparing our children to flourish now, as well as in the future, enabling them to be successful in education, employment and personally too.

At the heart of everything we do is the determination to develop our pupils through a variety of experiences, challenges and opportunities, whilst demonstrating our school values: Ambition, Resilience and Respect.

At Conway, we pride ourselves on helping every child to feel safe and happy in the school environment, which is reflected by our commitment to being part of 'Rights Respecting' to ensure the rights of the child are understood and met – both in and out of school. Children are valued by their classmates and teachers, and we have dedicated staff to ensure that all our pupils are settled and ready to learn. It is important to us to celebrate the achievements of our pupils, be these academic, sporting, artistic or in social groups outside of school.  I truly believe that as our pupils leave us, they are well-prepared for the next step of their journey due to the education and values provided at Conway.

Parents and carers are an important part of our school community and so we organise regular learning opportunities for them – including learning English as a second language – as well as holding regular informal coffee mornings on a range of subjects relating to school life; our yoga classes are very popular too! Our families make a valued contribution each year to our charity fundraisers and are invited to attend a range of events throughout the school year.

I look forward to welcoming you to our happy, vibrant school!
